We had another great session at WhiteWater flies last week for Kids on the Fly NWNJ. The kids tied one fly to fish with and one to wear! Our November meeting will be held the SECOND Saturday of the month which is November 10th, to coincide with the kids event being held at the Shoppes at Lafayette! Its going to be a fun filled event for kids so be sure to stop on by. We will be starting at 10am that day.
We had a full house during our April Session and are looking forward to May. The kids tied a variety of patterns including the Woolly Bugger as a warmup pattern for the new tyers. The new Regal Vises donated by the Catskill Fly Tyers Guild make the tying sessions a breeze and the kids have alot of fun using them. Thanks again to Greg at Whitewater Flies for hosting our sessions every month and we will see you in May!
Thank you to everyone who came out to tie on this past St. Patrick's Day! Here are a few photos from our session and once again we would like to thank Greg of Whitewater Flies, The Catskill Fly Tyers Guild and all of our volunteers for helping us make each session great!
Our January 6th meeting of "Kids on the Fly" Northwest, NJ was a success! Along with going over the basics of using tools We tied a handful of woolly buggers, and Robert Hopkens taught the kids (and a few of us!) how to tie an emerger using only EP Trigger Point fibers. We want to thank the Catskill Fly Tyers Guild, White Water Flies, the volunteers and everyone who came out to support Saturday. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next meeting on February 3rd, 2017 at 9:30am at White Water Flies in Lafayette, N.J.
